Home care in Baltimore, Maryland
Selectives Home Care serves families across Baltimore City, from the neighborhoods along the northern edge near our Lutherville office to the historic communities closer to downtown. We provide non-medical home care that lets older Baltimoreans stay in the homes and blocks they know.
Serving Baltimore and the surrounding area
We work throughout north Baltimore — Roland Park, Guilford, Homeland, Mount Washington, Cross Keys, Cheswolde and Mount Vernon — and in Charles Village, Hampden, Bolton Hill, Federal Hill and Canton. Many older residents here have lived in the same rowhouse or condominium for decades, and a few hours of help a day is what keeps that going.
Baltimore has some of the region’s largest hospitals — Johns Hopkins, the University of Maryland Medical Center, Sinai, Mercy and Union Memorial — and we can arrange care for people discharged home to city addresses. We welcome inquiries about one-on-one care for people living in senior communities in north Baltimore, such as Roland Park Place and Keswick. Arrangements are confirmed with the resident and community before care starts.
From Lutherville, a coordinator can reach most city neighborhoods in twenty to thirty minutes for the first consultation. Day-to-day, we aim to match your caregiver from the Baltimore area, so travel and parking are planned around your block rather than ours.
Baltimore’s rowhouses come with their own realities: a flight of marble steps to the front door, narrow interior stairs, a bedroom two floors up. The care-plan visit looks closely at how someone moves through their particular house. For clients in Roland Park, Guilford and Homeland, where homes are larger and set back from the street, the questions are more often about companionship, meals and getting to appointments across town.

Do caregivers have parking arrangements for city rowhouses?
Scheduling accounts for city parking and traffic, and we discuss the specifics of your street during the care-plan visit so visits run to time.
